Terms of Service

LoveReel is operated by TPP Technology Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia. In these terms “LoveReel”, “we” and “us” mean that company, and “you” means the person who uses the website or orders a film.

These terms are the agreement between you and us. You accept them when you send us your story for a preview, and again when you pay for a film. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your story and photos and is part of how we work with you.

You tell us the story of a couple by answering a few questions, and you upload photos. From those we make:

• a free preview — the script of the 30-second film, one first frame and a short sample of the narrator’s voice; and, if you decide to buy,
• a short film of about 30 seconds, or about 90 seconds where that longer film is offered: narrated, scored with original instrumental music, subtitled, and delivered as video files in landscape and vertical format together with a subtitle file.

We also make wedding invitation films of the same lengths, for a couple to send to their guests: the names, the date and the venue of the wedding set in type over a film of the two of them. The 30-second invitation has original instrumental music and a few lines of the story on screen, and no narration; the 90-second invitation tells the story as a narrated letter before the invitation itself. Both are delivered in landscape and vertical format, with two invitation cards as images: one to share, and one sized to print. The free preview of an invitation is its card, with the details you gave us, and the lines of the 30-second invitation. We set the details of the wedding exactly as you enter them, so please check them in the preview.

The script in the preview is the script of the 30-second film. The 90-second film is narrated from a longer script that we write after you order it: from the same story, checked against it fact by fact by the same automatic check, and keeping the changes you asked for in the preview. You do not see that script before you pay.

The film is delivered online, on a private page whose link we email to you. There is nothing to install and no account to create; the link is your key to the order, so keep it to yourself.

Every LoveReel film is made with generative AI. The script, the narrator’s voice, the pictures, the moving scenes and the music are all generated by software from what you give us. Nothing in the film is a recording of real events.

Likeness is approximate. We use your photos to make the people in the film resemble the real ones, and every shot is checked against them automatically, but an AI-made face is an artistic impression — it will not be a perfect portrait, and it can differ from scene to scene. Places, clothes, pets and objects are imagined from your description and may not match reality. The narration is written from your answers; it may compress, reorder or gently dramatise events. You see all of the 30-second film’s narration in the preview before you pay; the longer script of the 90-second film is written after you order it, as described in “What LoveReel is”.

We label films as AI-generated on the page where you watch them. If you share a film, please do not present it as real footage.

You must be at least 18 years old to use LoveReel, and able to enter into a contract where you live. The service is for private individuals making a film about their own relationship, or a gift for people they know — with those people’s agreement (see the next section).

We have no way to check where a photo comes from or who is in it. So by uploading, you promise that:

• you own the photos you upload, or have permission from whoever does, to use them to have this film made;
• everyone who can be recognised in them is 18 or older, and has agreed to appear in an AI-generated film — this includes your partner when the film is a surprise: make sure it is a surprise they will welcome;
• the photos contain no minors, no nudity or sexual content, and no private images of other people (ex-partners, strangers, celebrities, anyone who has not agreed);
• the story you tell is yours to tell, and does not reveal other people’s private information; and
• the email address you give us is your own.

If any of this turns out not to be true, you are responsible for the consequences, including claims made against us by the people affected. We may remove content and cancel an order that appears to break these promises (see Ending an order).

Please use LoveReel for what it is for. You agree not to:

• make a film of someone without their agreement, or to harass, embarrass, deceive or impersonate anyone;
• upload content that is unlawful, hateful, violent, sexual, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
• try to make content involving children, public figures or real people you have no connection to;
• request previews in bulk, use automated tools against the site, probe it for weaknesses, or get around the limits on free previews;
• resell the service or pass our work off as a service of your own.

Our AI providers apply their own safety filters too; content they refuse cannot be made into a film.

Your story and your photos stay yours. You give us a limited licence to use them for one purpose only: to make, check, deliver and — if you ask for it — fix your preview and your film. That includes copying, resizing and analysing the photos, and sending the story and photos to the AI services named in our Privacy Policy, which process them on our behalf.

The licence is non-exclusive, worldwide and free of charge, and it ends when the content is deleted (see the retention periods in the Privacy Policy). We do not use your photos or story to train AI models, we do not sell them, and we will not show your film or your photos to anyone else — for example as a sample on our website — unless you have separately and explicitly said yes.

Once you have paid, the film is yours to enjoy. We give you a perpetual, worldwide licence to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes. That expressly includes:

• downloading it and keeping as many copies as you like;
• sharing it with family and friends, and posting it on your own social media accounts;
• for a wedding invitation film, sending the film and its invitation cards to your guests, and printing the cards;
• showing it at private events such as a wedding, an anniversary party or a proposal.

It does not include selling the film, licensing it to others, using it in advertising or to promote a business, or entering it as your own original work where AI-made work is not allowed. The original score is licensed to you on the same terms, as part of the film. If you would like to use a film commercially, write to us first.

Because the film is generated by AI, the law in some countries may not give anyone copyright in parts of it. We make no promise that the film is protected by copyright; we only promise that we will not stop you from using it as described here.

The preview is free and comes with no obligation to buy. To keep it free for everyone, we limit how many previews can be requested per person and per day.

If the script is not right, you can ask for changes before you pay: each preview includes a small number of free script revisions (the page shows how many you have left). For bigger changes — other photos, different answers, another style — you can go back, edit your story and request a fresh preview.

The preview shows the script of the 30-second film in full, so please read it carefully: that film is made from exactly that script. The 90-second film is made from a longer script written after you order it, as described in “What LoveReel is”. The first frame and the voice sample show the intended look and sound; individual scenes in the finished film will differ from the first frame.

The price is shown on the website and again on your preview page before you pay. It is a one-time payment per film — there is no subscription. Prices are in US dollars and already include any sales tax, VAT or GST; Stripe’s checkout page may also show you the amount in your own currency.

Payments are handled by Stripe through its Link service, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase: it takes the payment, charges and pays any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies, and sends your receipt. Your card statement shows “LINK.COM*” followed by our name. You enter your card or wallet details on Stripe’s secure checkout page; we never see or store your full card number. We email you a confirmation, and we start making your film as soon as the payment is confirmed.

We want you to love your film. Here is what you can count on:

• Before delivery: you can cancel for any reason and get a full refund — just email us before your film is delivered. If we cannot make your film at all, we tell you and refund you in full without being asked.
• After delivery — redo first: if a shot does not look right (a face that is off, an odd hand, a scene that misses the point), email us within 14 days of delivery and tell us which moment. We remake those shots and send you a new version of the film, free of charge.
• After delivery — refund if it is still not right: if you contacted us within those 14 days and are still not happy after the redo, tell us and we refund you in full.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used; depending on your bank they can take 5 to 10 business days to appear. When an order is refunded in full, your licence to the film ends and we ask you to delete your copies.

None of this limits the rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded — see Limitation of liability.

A preview usually takes about ten minutes and a film about an hour. Those are typical times, not guarantees: we depend on third-party AI services that are sometimes slow, busy or unavailable, and a shot that fails our automatic checks is made again, which takes time. If your film is badly delayed we will tell you, and the refund rules above apply.

We do not promise that the website will always be available or free of errors, and we may change, pause or stop features. We keep finished films available for download for 90 days after delivery — please download yours. After that we may delete it, and we are not able to recreate a deleted film.

LoveReel is a creative service built on generative AI, which is unpredictable by nature. Apart from what these terms expressly promise, and to the extent the law allows, we provide the service “as is”: we do not promise that a film will match what you imagined, that people will be recognisable to everyone, that details will be factually accurate, or that the result will be free of the small visual flaws typical of AI-generated video.

The preview, the free revisions, the redo of shots and the refund are how we stand behind the result instead.

Your statutory rights come first. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any guarantee, right or remedy you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited (in Australia, for example, the consumer guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law), or our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:

• our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunity — including a film that is not ready in time for a particular date or event; and
• we are not liable for delays or failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as outages of the AI, payment, email or hosting services we rely on.

You agree to compensate us for losses and reasonable costs that result from your breach of the promises in Your photos and story or of Acceptable use.

You can stop using LoveReel at any time, and you can ask us to delete your order and everything in it by emailing contact@getlovereel.com (see the Privacy Policy for how quickly we do that).

We may refuse, pause or cancel an order, remove content, or block access if we reasonably believe that these terms have been broken, that content is unlawful or harmful, or that a payment is fraudulent or has been charged back. If we cancel a paid order for a reason that is not your fault, we refund it in full. Sections that are meant to outlast an order — your promises, the licences, the disclaimers and the limits on liability — continue to apply afterwards.

We may update these terms, for example when the service changes or the law does. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply to an order are the ones that were published when you paid for it; changes never apply backwards to a film you have already bought.

Nothing in these terms takes away the protection that the mandatory consumer laws of your home country give you, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still do so later.
